Fees For 2026/2027.
The SVICSA team dues for a season are $750.00. Etransfers are accepted to payments@svicsa.com
Please identify which team you are paying for when you send the transfer.
Referee fees are $40 per team per game, for approximately 23 games in the season. These fees must be paid in cash before kickoff, with no exceptions.
For field rentals, we have a user-pay policy. This means each team pays 50% of the cost of a field. Costs per team can range from $5 to $80: the higher cost is for evening games on some turf fields. Field fee invoices will be calculated in April 2027 from the final schedule put out in early September and early January. They are payable by April 30 2027. Teams that still owe funds from the previous season will not be able to register for the upcoming season.
Team Enrolment Procedure
In mid-June, an updated team registration form will be posted on our website. It must be completed and submitted by July 31st. Among other things, the form requires contact information for at least two representatives per team plus the details of the Teams or the Clubs treasurer. Your team members must understand they may be required to travel to Sooke, Saltspring and/or Mill Bay for certain games. It is very unfair to those teams if you show up with inadequate numbers. They travel much more than any other teams in our league. For new managers, we have a secured site for a number of issues related to team and league management. Schedule
The draft schudule is typically posted on the site in late August and late December for the 2026 part of the season. Managers need to pay close attention to the whole schedule and notify Ron of any potential problems as soon as possible.
Most league games are scheduled for Sunday at 10am or noon, and Wednesday evening. Occasionally, games can occur on other days, times and evenings, depending on a home team’s field availability. A draft of the league schedule comes out in late August/early September. Please review this draft immediately and report any problems or conflicts asap! The schedule will be posted.
Rules
We are a recreational soccer league. There are no standings, points, or trophies for winning. All players should review the league rules, play with consideration for others’ safety and obey the referees.
No team should sign a new player who is under the team’s stated 40/49/56 age limit. New 40s teams must have at least 16 players dedicated to playing in our league exclusively (other than any Over 35 crossover players). All players must have signed the Online Insurance Waiver prior to playing. Team managers must ensure strict compliance. Team Managers are not permitted to cancel games without first consulting the oposing Team Manager. Playing 10V10 or 9V9 is better than no game.
