Yes, that's right! In the UK alone, it's grown from 126 teams to over 1,100 today. Here in B.C., there are participants up-island and on the Mainland. Walking Soccer, was intrroduced to Victoria. in August 2021 It has proved to be a rewarding experience that has provided an opportunity for all types of player to engage in a social activity that improves their cardiovascular and mental health

Scrimmages
When and Where
Venue The Gorge FC Cage which is a small enclosed field behind the changing rooms at Hampton Park
- Division1 Monday 1.00pm - 2.30pm
- For people who have not played soccer, are rusty from "retiring" a number of years ago and players who are vulnerable to injury caused by being hit by a strongly hit pass or shot made by a skilled player or inadvertent physical contact.
- (Note: Because of the wide range of ages and physical stature Inadvertent physical contact can occur due to the difference in reaction times when two players seek to intercept a pass. )
- Division 2 : Wednesdays 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm
- Players in this Division are able to safely participate in a more physically vigorous and skillful game than that played in Division 1. Particpants in this Division say that they are amazed by the amount of energy and skill that it takes.
- Mixed Saturday 2100pm - 2.30pm.00pm
- This is open to Division 1 and Division 2 players.
- Note: When Division 2 players participate in the Division 1 or Mixed scrimmages they are expected to moderate their play to blend in with the other participants.
FEES $187 per season August 1st - July 31st1st
Prorated refunds for players who have to withdraw due to health or work reasons.
Prorated fees for playrers joining during the course of the season
Prospective players are allowed 3 free "trial' scimmages
Drop-in fee $5 per scrimmage
What to Bring
Footwear suitable for artificial turf (runners are OK) , a white shirt and black shirt

Jockeying is the defender's skill of keeping between the attacker and his or her intended target. It requires the defender to slow down or delay the attacker by backing off slowly while at the same time trying to force an error or make a successful tackle.
These videos talk about jockeying in the running game. They involve some contact which is illegal in the walking game. However, they do show the position of the body. Particularly pay attention to what is said about footwork
